Plant Science

The Plant Science program teaches students how plants grow and how to manage crops for farming. In this two-year program, students learn about plant parts, soil, pests, and how to water crops. Classes include hands-on lab work to build real-world skills.
Students who finish the Associate Degree or Certificate of Achievement can find jobs in crop management, working in greenhouses, or doing research in plant science.
What is Plant Science?
Plant science is the study of how plants grow, live, and help people. It looks at plant parts, how plants use water and sunlight, how they make seeds, and how they interact with the environment.
People who study plant science use tools like microscopes and test plants in labs and fields. This science helps us grow better crops, take care of forests and gardens, and protect the planet. Plant science is important in farming, gardening, research, and conservation.
