What is Education Studies?

Education Studies is the study of how people learn and how education shapes our world. It explores many topics such as:

  • The history and philosophy of education
  • The impact of culture, diversity, and technology on learning
  • Education policy and how decisions affect schools and students

Unlike a teacher preparation program, Education Studies is not focused on earning a teaching credential. Instead, it helps you understand how education connects to society and how it can create positive change.

Graduates often go on to careers in education support, policy, administration, or advocacy, or continue their studies in education or related fields.
